Our Mission

First Assembly of God in Burkburnett, Texas is designed to model a New Testament church founded on the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God, reflecting the realities of the book of Acts, with a renewed emphasis on the anointed of God, active, fervent prayer, divine healing, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and other supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Our values and beliefs are reflected in an aggressive outreach program, resulting in dynamic growth and New Testament evangelism based on the Scriptures. In addition, we desire to build and maintain a global evangelistic outreach program through international mission funds and local church sponsored mission trips. We are a church with a passion for intimacy with God, striving to enter the next level of worship and praise. It is our desire to develop anointed worship services with an appropriate blend of contemporary and traditional music.

We are dedicated to stimulating individual spiritual growth based on proven Biblical principles through various discipleship ministries designed to equip believers spiritually, mentally, emotionally, economically, and socially. We strive to meet every aspect of human need by offering retreats, classes, educational seminars, counseling, and fellowship. Realizing we are the Body of Christ, His hands and feet, our church is committed to meeting community needs by reaching out to all families regardless of age, race, gender, financial ability, marital status, or reputation. We will maintain effective modern, debt-free facilities to adequately provide for the spiritual growth and development of our congregation and community.

First Assembly of God of Burkburnett maintains effective pastoral staff to provide leadership to adequately develop the God given ministries and the vision of the church. We encourage the development of visionary leadership motivated through love, resulting in every believer becoming actively involved in ministry according to their gifting.
